Wild Tulip
Tulipa sylvestris
'In the green’ bulbs are available from late January . This relative of the garden tulip has naturalised in some areas and can be found growing wild in southern, central and eastern parts of England and scattered localities in Scotland , although it appears to be declining. It is a medium plant (15-30cm), with yellow, fragrant cup-shaped flowers which gradually open out from April to May. Suitable for partly shaded sites.

Habitat: W oodland, meadows and rough grassy areas. It is suitable for naturalising in woodland and shady areas of the garden.
Description: Perennial. It is a medium plant ( 15 - 3 0cm), with yellow, fragrant cup-shaped flowers from April to May .
Planting Instructions for ' I n the Green ' Bulb s : The bulbs should be planted as soon as you receive them. They are best planted where they can be left undisturbed. I f the earth is frozen solid, then you’ll need to wait until it is crumbly again. If you do need to wait for a co uple of days, sink the bulbs in some damp compost in a sheltered place until the soil is crumbly again.
Plant the bulbs as soon as possible upon receipt.
