Pond Planting Bags

Pond Planting Bags can be used instead of the conventional planting baskets. Advantages of the planting bag over the plastic baskets are that they hold in the aquatic compost better, don't require a hessian liner, can be folded over to reduce the height of the bag and will 'mould' to uneven shelves. They are suitable for marginal and oxygenating plants.

Please note that we are unable to supply aquatic soil, so you will need to purchase that from a Garden Centre or use garden loam.

15cm Planting Bag holds approx 2.6 litres aquatic soil. Suitable for eg:
1 or 2 Fringed Lily or
1 or 2 Yellow Flag or
2 or 3 small Marginals/Oxygenators or
1 or 2 large Marginals

18cm Planting Bag holds approx 5.8 litres aquatic soil. Suitable for eg:
2 Fringed Lily or
2 or 3 Yellow Flag or
4 or 5 small Marginals/Oxygenators or
2 or 3 larger Marginals

25cm Planting Bag holds approx 9.8 litres aquatic soil. Suitable for eg:

1 Water Lily or
1 Brandy Bottle or
2 or 3 Fringed Lily or
3 or 4 Yellow Flag or
5 or 6 small Marginals/Oxygenators or
4 or 5 larger Marginals
